Goals…

When one is is the phase of rehabilitation, it is important and essential to set realistic goals.  Some goals can be based on a short term basis and others long term.  Typical goals often deal with amounts of pain, range of motion, strength, and functional specific activities.  If you are trying to rehabilitate an injury, make sure to set goals for yourself.  This is important to track your progress and let yourself know if what your doing is helping or helping enough and if you should perhaps alter some of your interventions.

Physical therapist use goals to guide their treatment interventions to be most effective.
